In our museum we believe that “no man is an island” and that every action has a direct impact on the environment. What we mean by sustainable development is business responsibility towards the local community and reducing the negative impact of our activities on the environment. At the same time, we care about the best quality of our services. That’s why we have created the sustainable development policy and its goals consistent to the ESG standards, which we want to achieve and which implementation we observe. It applies to three aspects – Environmental, Social, Governance.
MINIMALISATION OF THE NEGATIVE IMPACT ON THE ENVIRONMENT
We do our best to minimalize our ecological footprint, so pro-ecological activities are very important for us. We follow the Less Waste idea – we never use disposable plastic, we do not print invoices and we care about proper waste recycling.
We shorten the delivery chain to limit the carbon footprint and support local producers.
We use little water and energy, and we encourage others to do the same.
We plant trees – twice a year (during summer and winter vacations) a part of our income is used for planting trees effort organised by Posadzimy.pl.
SUPPORTING LOCAL ECONOMY, CULTURE AND COMMUNITY
We are socially responsible; therefore, we support local suppliers, and we co-operate with social enterprises. Our clients also can support the local community by buying in our store.
We contribute to the promotion of the region by working on protecting and promoting the cultural legacy of Krakow. We actively share our knowledge on obwarzanek krakowski – one of the symbols of our city – and other regional consumption products.
We create a workplace for young people from our city. We provide them with financial stability, which helps them in studying and growing.
SMART MANAGEMENT
Our whole team actively participate in our activities concerning the sustainable development. As a company, we declare to be led by our rules in connection to the business ethics, fair consumption practice and social responsibility. We also encourage our clients and business partners to join us in our conscious appreciation of ecology and local matters.
We focus on our staff’s well-being, providing a safe work environment, fair salary and flexible working hours. We care about the atmosphere and inclusive organisational culture. Thanks to that we create a team of people who feel good around themselves and fulfil their potential. We have adopted a zero tolerance policy on sexual exploitation, violence and harassment in the workplace. While making the business decisions we aim not only at making the profit, but mainly at following the rules of our sustainable development.
